Uiteindelijk is dan met enige dagen vertraging het nieuws van de CRU hack dan toch in de MSM geplaatst. Aangezien hier al op veel sites over is geschreven volsta ik met een samenvatting.
stuur dit doorEen hacker heeft enkele files en duizenden Emails gehackt van de University of East Anglia die nauw samenwerkt met het Hadley Climatic Research Unit (CRU), computermodellen centrum en leverancier van doemscenarios aan het IPCC. De mails zijn hier te lezen met zoekfunctie, en laten vrijwel alle duistere vermoedens van sceptici over de kwalijke werkwijze van deze instanties bewaarheid zien.
Voorbij komen o.a.

»het gebruik van 'tricks' om dalende temperaturen te verbergen

»data veranderen om sceptics af te weren
»het tegenwerken bij vragen om informatie en medewerking
»het voorkomen van skeptische publicaties met medewerking van officiele kanalen

»het weren van ongewenste peer-reviewed rapporten in IPCC publicaties
Een aantal sites heeft een compilatie van de tot nu toe meest in het oog springende mails gemaakt zoals hier en hier. Ter verduidelijking, Phil Jones is de baas bij CRU, Michael Mann is de fraudeur van de hockey stick en Keith Briffa moest met de billen bloot in de Yamal affaire.
Nadat deze club wist dat zij door de zg Freedom of Information Act in het geval van de Yamal publicatie een data onderzoek zouden moeten toestaan komt het deleten van mail en files meermaals aan de orde. Dit is op zich al een schending van de wet.
Goed om te zien dat talloze alarmistische sites nu zo dom zijn om hun werkelijke gezicht te laten zien door deze kwalijke praktijken te vergoeilijken en af doen als niets bijzonders, en dit betreft dan uitspraken als de volgende;

How come you do not agree with a statement that says we are no where close to knowing where energy is going or whether clouds are changing to make the planet brighter. We are not close to balancing the energy budget. The fact that we can not account for what is happening in the climate system makes any consideration of geoengineering quite hopeless as we will never be able to tell if it is successful or not! It is a travesty!

The fact is that we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can't. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.
Tja, wat zal ik er verder over zeggen. In vorige posts heb ik wel eens dingen geschreven over de werkwijze van de alarmisten die volgens critici bezijden de waarheid is. Maar bovenstaande schetst een cultuur die ver van open en zuivere wetenschapsbedrijving af staat en louter bezig is met de politieke 'consensus', groepsdenken, protectie, datamanipulatie, vervalsing, obstructie, verduistering en fraude.
